Peer review

Learning Outcome #4:

While doing the peer reviews, I found out it was much more helpful than I thought. Doing the peer reviews gives you the chance to help someones paper and also help you own by gaining a new perspective on the project. Being able to read over someones paper allowed me to use their ideas as well to help create my own story. It also helped me get better with grammar and the correct way to write a college paper.

Lindseys paper was well done but it was also missing a lot of important details. Her paper was mostly a summary of the text with no definitive opinion and no hypothesis. I helped her fix her grammar and asked her questions such as, what does this specific word mean because as the reader who doesn’t know anything about the paper, I was unable to understand specific topics. I also helped her get rid of unimportant information and add in important information. I helped her figure out what he hypothesis and what her main topic of her essay was.

Strengths: Strong language, good grammar, mostly summary

weaknesses: Had past, present, and future tenses, Did not have a strong hypothesis, did not explain important details enough.
